RCBO Vs RCD - Plugs Electrical, High Wycombe

Fuse boards with RCBOs (Residual Current Circuit Breakers with Overcurrent Protection) protecting individual circuits offer superior safety and functionality compared to fuse boards containing dual RCDs (Residual Current Device) each one protecting multiple circuits.

RCBOs provide individual circuit protection, meaning that in the event of a fault, only the affected circuit is isolated, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to other circuits. This targeted protection minimizes downtime and inconvenience. Additionally, RCBOs offer precise tripping characteristics tailored to specific circuits, enhancing safety and reducing the risk of electrical fires or shock hazards.

In contrast, dual RCD fuse boards may inadvertently trip multiple circuits, causing unnecessary disruptions and compromising safety.
Overall, the precision, efficiency, and enhanced protection provided by RCBO-equipped fuse boards make them the preferred choice for modern electrical installations.
